European pond terrapin

The European pond terrapin (Emys orbicularis) is a very distributed terrapin in Albania. It is found from
the lowlands to the hill areas, except for the mountain areas. It feeds mainly on fish, crabs and water
insects. The global conservation status for this specimen as per IUCN is Near Threatened.
