CALL for External assistant: UAV pilot

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Herpetofauna Albanian Society (HAS) seeks an UAV pilot to join the LIFEMEDTURTLES project. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the UAVs for the nesting survey that HAS will conduct for the LIFEMEDTURTLES project. He/she will be working at three coastal areas along the Adriatic coastline: Drini bay, Durres and Divjake.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Extended experience in usage of Unman Aerial Vehicles (UAV). 

PREFERRED SELECTION CRITERIA 

Candidates certified in usage of Unman Aerial Vehicles (UAV).and with previous experiences in UAV usage for environmental studies are encouraged to apply and may be given preference. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

 Knowledge of: UAV operating system. Skills: use of field equipment. Ability to: collaborate with the Scientific coordinator for the compilation of the best routes for the beach coverage; utilize problem-solving techniques; use computer software for data storage; establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, and volunteers; understand and apply rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to the conduct of a Commission employee; perform field work (sometimes in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, etc.).
